Air Products and Anandvan Foundation Inaugurate Anadavan Dense Forest on Earth Day

Six thousand square feet mini forest consisting of 1,600 saplings has been created in Pune

Air Products (NYSE: APD), a world leader in industrial gases megaproject development and execution, partnered with Anandvan Foundation to inaugurate Anandvan Dense Forest on Earth Day.

The 6,000 square feet mini forest project has been set up in partnership with Air Products, Anandvan Foundation and Forest Department of Pune. The mini forest has been set up using the Miyawaki technique of growing forests in a shorter period of about 20-30 years, including smaller green patches that grow in two years, unlike naturally grown forests. The model dense forest grows ten times faster and is 30 times denser than traditional forests. The newly created mini forest in Pune houses 1,600 saplings consisting of over 100 native and rare varieties.
